Below, you will find my recent review that I am happy to update now. After I entered that review, I was quickly contacted. When I restarted the game I was sent an update. That update has largely resolved my LONG ADS issue. My compliments to the developers! "I understand the need for ads, but WHY do the ads need to take so long? Seeing an ad that is SEVERAL minutes long DOES NOT make me want to install that game. Run MORE ads if you must, but PLEASE NOT SO LONG! Otherwise, a great game!"

Hi — thank you for the kind words and the honest complaint. Your instinct matches ours: several short ads beat one long one. We control how often ads appear, but not how long each network's creative runs. We can block the worst offenders though — if you recall which ad it was, mention it here and we'll chase that one down.

Developers responded quickly to an issue I had with a recent update. They added an option to disable what I felt was a very distracting word completion animation. Thank you to the devs for their response. The app is good as a simple crossword puzzle game, and it has enough free puzzle sources for me to do a daily puzzle. I really like the Daily American one that is included with the app. If you're looking for a crossword app with multiple free daily puzzle sources, this app gets the job done.

This is a great app if you are into crossword puzzles. Exactly as advertised. Downloads most of the common daily crossword puzzles (including LA Times, USA Today, Schaffer, Universal, etc.). Once downloaded, you can then play off-line without internet access. So for example it is great for long plane or car rides. Ads only play between puzzles. Has an option to note incorrect letters if you are a little unsure. Love this app. Would give it 10 stars if possible.
